Born in Oxnard and currently living in Camarillo, real estate professional Victor Martinez is a lifelong resident of Ventura County. In joining Coldwell Banker at their Channel Islands/Oxnard beach location, he brings a wealth of experience from the education, agriculture, and construction fields.
At the age of 11, Victor worked the summers, holidays, and weekends in the local lemon orchards as a tree pruner. This taught him to develop a good work ethic at an early age. Graduated High School at Camarillo High. He then went on to earn two state certificates, one being a journeyman sheet metal worker, and the other, a journeyman HVAC service technician. Victor’s relentless pursuit for excellence on the job was recognized when he advanced to Project Manager. Completing such projects as LAX Control Tower, LA County Jail, P&G expansions 1&2, Los Robles Hospital addition, several classified buildings at Point Mugu Navel Base and many more.
Victor’s thirst for knowledge drove him to attain a dual Bachelor’s degree in Labor Studies and Science at the University of Maryland. After furthering his education at Ohio State University, he decided to combine his love for construction and also for education. This led him to pursue a career combining the two as Apprenticeship Administrator of Southern California. He served several years on the Ventura County School to Career Executive Board. And Chaired the Santa Barbara County Workforce Investment Board.
Victor’s next step was to pursue a career in Real Estate. His reason for choosing this field is to help families to attain their dreams by owning their own homes. His parents taught him the importance of people, family, education, respecting others, hard work, honesty, and the determination to achieve and obtain lifelong goals. He has made it his objective to help others attain theirs.
